Bio

For as long as I can remember I have been immersed in activities related to creation and expression.
On the one hand, I was always fascinated by art, I studied plastic arts for many years and participated in an urban intervention group called "La Tromba" that made murals around the city of Montevideo.
That's why I studied Graphic Design at ORT University and Architecture at UDELAR (University of the Republic).
Today I am a Graphic Designer and Architect.
On the other hand, I always had a leg in the world of music.
I come from a family closely linked to music, I have studied flute, guitar, bass, I dare to play drums and piano.
My interest in the world of music production led me to set up my own music studio "Estudio de las naranjas" which is my creative factory where I record my albums and produce other artists.
In 1997 I formed the band Cursi with which we stayed until 2012.
With Cursi we released seven albums and a DVD (several of them released in Argentina), I had the chance to play all over Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
I have also recorded and produced many artists (Queyi, Sebastián Jantos, etc.).
In 2008 I had the honor to participate playing, recording and producing my brother Jorge's song "A la sombra del Ceibal" which became the anthem of the Ceibal Plan.
Since 2012 I am part of the Board of Directors of Agadu (Asociación General de Autores del Uruguay) from where we develop cultural projects such as the Audiovisual Cycle "Autores en Vivo" and the multimodal broadcast platform "Pegaso".
I collaborate as bassist and guitarist in several musical projects (Queyi, Mariana Lucía, Letra y Música, etc.).
Since 2013 I started playing live and composing as a soloist.
At the end of 2014 Ayuí Records releases my first solo work "de nuevo".
Since 2015 I start touring and playing in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, Brazil and Paraguay.
In 2017 we released "LUDIQUE" on CD and DVD.
A live album with Mariana Lucia and Queyi that achieves a nomination for the Graffiti Awards as Best Long Playing Audiovisual.
In 2018 we release the EP "1978" with the Pop-Rock band "Los Travelin'Irvins" which achieves a nomination to the Graffiti Awards as Best EP.
In 2019 "Pampero" is released, my second solo album with Ayuí Discos.
"Pampero" obtained three nominations to the Graffiti Awards in the category of "Best Urban Song Album", "Best Composer" and "Best Male Artist".
During 2020, I presented "Las cuatro estaciones de los sentidos".
A conceptual EP containing four songs inspired by each of the climatic seasons.
Each song was released at the beginning of the change of season.
A project conceived during the confinement of the Pandemic.
At the same time we presented with Ana Prada the project "Canciones Primas", a joint show that brings together songs of both of us prepared especially for this show.
In 2021 I released "En vivo" an EP with four songs recorded live at the "Vaz Ferreira" Hall of the National Library and "Eternos Misterios" (my third solo album released by Ayuí Discos).
In 2022 "Eternos Misterios" is awarded with the Grafitti Award for Best Pop Album.
At the end of the year we released "HAL-1984" (edited by Sur Beats) with the renowned DJ and electronic music producer Fernando Picón.
An EP of electronic music with compositions in English and with an electronic and retro aesthetic.
That same year I am elected as Secretary of ALCAM (Latin American Alliance of Composers and Music Authors) and as member of the Board of Directors of CIAM (International Council of Music Authors).
In 2023, thanks to the repercussion of "Eternos Misterios", "VIIVO" was released, an EP integrated by four songs recorded live at the Sociedad Urbana de Villa Dolores in Montevideo.
In 2024 I am appointed as an advisory member of the international "Fair Trade Music" Association based in Canada, an independent movement dedicated to building an ethical, sustainable and transparent music ecosystem, equitable for all members of the music value chain.
